I had been building Web apps. Good work. On and off clients. But something felt borrowed — like I was building on land I didn't own.
Then I deployed my first Solana program.

What Web2 never told me
In Web2, you build on platforms. Platforms that can change their API, ban your account, or shut down overnight. You are a tenant, always.
Web3 flips this. Your users own their data. Your protocol lives on-chain. No one can take it from you — not even you.
The hard part nobody talks about
The tooling is rough. Anchor errors are cryptic. RPC nodes go down. Gas estimation is an art form. I lost money on bad trades before I understood liquidity.
But every hard thing taught me something Web2 never could: how value actually moves.
Where I am now
Building DeepTide Finance. Tracking whales. Writing this from a wallet that holds assets, not just a bank account that holds numbers.
The ocean is deep. I'm just getting started.
